Upheld ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your information, and it is written in plain language because we believe you should be able to understand it easily.
Upheld does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All information you enter into the app, including your triage answers, case details, evidence entries, and generated documents, is stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage.
We do not have access to any of this information. It never leaves your device.
Upheld does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
Upheld does not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking technologies. We do not track how you use the app or build a profile based on your activity.
Upheld does not share data with any third parties. The app does not integrate with social media platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.
The app is hosted on Vercel. When you visit the app, Vercel may process standard web server logs (such as your IP address and browser type) in accordance with their own privacy policy. This is standard for any website and is not something we control or have access to.
Documents you create using the app, such as grievance letters, repair notices, and letters before action, are generated entirely on your device. When you copy or download a document, it remains in your control. We do not retain copies.
Upheld is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to delete, amend, or provide to you under data protection law. Your data is yours and stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or deleting the app.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we ever introduce features that involve collecting personal data, we will update this policy before doing so and make it clear what has changed.
